Smith Energy signs Development Agreement with US$30B Utility

Smith Energy has signed an agreement to develop solar and wind power generating facilities throughout New England.  The confidential partner is a multi-billion dollar utility that selected Smith Energy as it's primary local partner in the region.

Ken Smith selected as a start-up coach for MIT Ignite Clean Energy competition

Ken Smith, founder and CEO of Smith Energy, was selected by the Ignite Clean Energy steering committee to be a coach to Covalent Solar, an MIT spinout creating an innovative solar concentrator technology.  Covalent subsequently won $10K for best elevator pitch and attracted the attention of more than 100 angel investors and 15 top tier venture capital funds.

Nick d'Arbeloff joins the Smith Energy Strategic Advisory Board

Nick d'Arbeloff is the Executive Director of the New England Clean Energy Council where he drives activity in the areas of Innovation and Growth, and plays a leading role in directing the activities of the Innovation Task Force and the CEO Council. He is also heavily involved with the Council’s policy efforts.

Smith Energy signs Power Purchase Agreement with Shrewsbury Electric and Cable Operations

Smith Energy is working with SELCO and the Town of Shrewsbury to convert a landfill site into a renewable energy facility.  Founded in 1908, SELCO is a community owned and operated company offering Shrewsbury residents and businesses high-quality light and cable programs and service at highly competitive prices.

Smith Energy signs Power Purchase Agreement with the Concord Municipal Light Plant

The Concord Municipal Light Plant will be one of the first to take advantage of Smith Energy's innovative approach to community-based project siting.  Founded in 1898, the Concord Municipal Light Plant services more than 7,200 residential, municipal, and business customers throughout the town of Concord, MA.

The Nexcepts partnership enables Smith Energy to bring to its clients every aspect of renewable energy engineering, including power plant design, civil and structural engineering services, CAD drafting, steel detailing, take-offs & estimation, and load analysis.  Nexcepts is an international, integrated engineering service provider headquartered in USA, with presence in U.K., and offshore design and development centers operating in India.
